Easy Camping Meals Made with Jerky
After a full day on the hike, it's hard to work up the enthusiasm to mix up a bunch of ingredients to get dinner going. There's a few easy recipes you can make with jerky that require just a bit of mixing to keep your stomach happy.
Teriyaki Jerky & Ramen
One of the reasons why ramen is so practical for hiking trips is its light weight and how quickly it is ready to go. Start a campfire, add a bit of water in a pot, put in ramen, and stir in a handful of T.O.P. Chops Teriyaki Beef Jerky. No seasoning required -- the flavors of the meat and the teriyaki seasoning will create a broth that tastes great all on its own.
Sweet and Spicy Sloppy Joe
A single can of sloppy joe sauce, a few hamburger buns, and a package of T.O.P. Chops Sweet & Spicy Jerky is all you need to make a delicious meal that will remind you of being a kid. Chop the jerky into quarter-inch pieces and heat it with the sauce before serving it on buns.
Red Chili Jerky Baked Potatoes
Once the fire is going, cut a hole halfway through the potatoes and insert as much T.O.P. Chops Red Chili Pepper Jerky as you can fit. Cover the potatoes with aluminum foil and place them in the fire for about fifteen minutes. They'll not only cook all the way through, but the red chili jerky flavoring will seep out into the potato itself.
Start the day right by heating up a pan and adding T.O.P. Chops Original Beef Jerky to eggs and peppers. Stir for a few minutes until the eggs are cooked through and then eat straight out of the pan for all the protein you'll need for the morning.
